About Miami Beach

Miami Beach is where Latin America meets the United States on a strip of sand between Biscayne Bay and the Atlantic. South Beach gets all the attention — the Art Deco Historic District with its pastel-painted hotels, Ocean Drive with its see-and-be-seen sidewalk cafés, and the beach itself, wide and flat with that distinctive white sand. But Mid-Beach and North Beach are where the locals go when they actually want to swim without dodging selfie sticks. The food scene is phenomenal: Cuban cafecitos, Haitian griot, Peruvian ceviche, and some of the best fine dining in the Southeast. Then there's the nightlife, which doesn't really start until midnight.
