About Bondi Beach

Bondi is the beach that launched a thousand Instagram accounts, but beyond the influencer noise, it is genuinely one of the world's great urban beaches. The crescent of sand is bookended by sandstone headlands, the Bondi Icebergs pool sits dramatically at the southern end, and the coastal walk to Coogee via Tamarama and Bronte is one of the best free walks in any city, anywhere. On weekends, the Bondi Farmers Markets take over the school grounds with everything from organic sourdough to fresh oysters. The surf is surprisingly decent for a city beach, though it gets crowded. Flat whites run about $5 AUD at the cafes lining Campbell Parade, and the Saturday night restaurant scene around Hall Street punches well above what you'd expect from a beach suburb.
