About Turks and Caicos

Grace Bay Beach on Providenciales has topped "best beach in the world" lists so many times it's almost boring to mention — except the water really is that clear, and the sand really is that soft. The reef running parallel to shore creates a natural lagoon that's perfect for snorkeling straight off the beach. Beyond Grace Bay, the islands offer bonefishing on the flats, whale watching in winter (humpbacks pass through the Turks Island Passage), and an emptiness that feels increasingly rare in the Caribbean. Most of the islands in the chain are uninhabited.

Highlights

  • 1Walk the full length of Grace Bay Beach
  • 2Snorkel the barrier reef from shore
  • 3Visit the deserted beaches on North Caicos
  • 4Go bonefishing on the shallow flats
  • 5Spot humpback whales from January to April
