The list is shorter than most guides admit. The resorts that are open and still clothing-optional in 2026 are Hedonism II in Negril, the au naturel beaches at three Couples resorts in Jamaica, and three properties on Mexico's Caribbean coast: Hidden Beach, Desire Riviera Maya and Desire Pearl. Orient Bay on Saint-Martin is still the Caribbean's best-known nude beach, but its resort, Club Orient, has not reopened since Hurricane Irma in 2017. Sorobon on Bonaire, once on every list, no longer presents itself as a naturist resort. Each property runs its own rules and draws a different crowd, so the details below matter more than any ranking.

Jamaica after Hurricane Melissa: Hurricane Melissa hit western Jamaica hard in late October 2025, and some resort chains needed until May 2026 to reopen all their damaged hotels. Confirm directly with any Jamaican resort that it is fully operating before you book.

Hedonism II, Negril, Jamaica

The Property

Hedonism II sits on 22 acres at the northern end of Negril's beach and has about 280 rooms, according to its Wikipedia entry. It is all-inclusive and split into a "nude" side and a "prude" side, each with its own pool. On the nude side, nudity is expected at the pool, beach and hot tub; restaurants, the lobby and other public areas require you to cover up.

What It's Actually Like

The resort's own site describes it as adults-only, clothing-optional and "lifestyle friendly", which is a fair summary: it is a party resort with themed weeks and a swinger contingent, not a quiet naturist retreat. It takes singles as well as couples (singles pay a supplement), and the clothed side lets a mixed group travel together. If you want calm, this is the wrong pick.

Couples Resorts, Jamaica (Au Naturel Areas)

Couples Resorts are couples-only all-inclusives, and three of the four have a separate au naturel area, according to the Couples FAQ:

• Couples Tower Isle (Ocho Rios area): a private clothing-optional island with a pool and swim-up bar, reached by small boat and open 9am to 5pm, weather permitting.
• Couples Sans Souci (Ocho Rios area): Sunset Beach, set aside for au naturel sunbathing, with a pool, Jacuzzi, bar and grill, open from 9am to 5pm or 5:30pm depending on the season.
• Couples Negril: a small semi-private au naturel beach area just off the main beach.

Couples Swept Away does not allow nude sunbathing. These are mainstream couples resorts with a nude corner, which suits a couple where one partner is curious and the other is not.

Hidden Beach Au Naturel Resort, Kantenah, Mexico

The Property

Hidden Beach is a small, adults-only, all-inclusive au naturel resort with 42 suites at Kantenah on the Riviera Maya, between Playa del Carmen and Tulum and about an hour and a half by road from Cancun airport. It sits next to the larger El Dorado resorts, and guests have to dress when they use those neighbouring facilities.

What Sets It Apart

This is the quietest and most food-focused option on the list. Nudity is expected in the main pool and pool bar, and the dining areas, beach and hot tubs are clothing-optional. It takes couples and single adults. Confirm availability and the minimum age (some agents list 21) with the resort or a specialist agency before you pay.

Desire Riviera Maya and Desire Pearl, Puerto Morelos, Mexico

The Properties

Desire Resorts runs two couples-only, clothing-optional all-inclusives on the coast road between Cancun and Puerto Morelos: Desire Riviera Maya (at km 27.5) and the more upscale Desire Pearl. The key difference from Hidden Beach is that Desire markets itself to the "sensual" and lifestyle crowd: Desire Riviera Maya has a playroom, and the evening programme runs to themed parties.

Booking

Both resorts book couples only. Their definition of a couple and the rules for the au naturel areas are set by the resort, so read the current booking terms before you pay.

Orient Bay, Saint-Martin (and Club Orient)

Current Status

Club Orient was the Caribbean's best-known family naturist resort until Hurricane Irma destroyed it in September 2017. As of October 2026 its website still says the goal is to rebuild and that updates will be posted there; no reopening has been announced. Do not book anything sold as "Club Orient" without checking that page.

What to Do Instead

The beach itself is public and still in use: the south end of Orient Bay is the naturist section. Stay in a rental or small hotel in the Orient Bay area and walk down. It is on the French side of the island, so you fly into Princess Juliana (SXM) on the Dutch side and drive about half an hour.

Dropped From This List: Sorobon, Bonaire

Sorobon Beach Resort on Lac Bay was for decades the Caribbean's quiet naturist option. Its current website sells studios, beach houses and family villas and says nothing about clothing-optional use, so we no longer list it as a naturist resort. Ask the resort directly if you are considering it.

The Check-In Reality

Nobody undresses at the front desk. You check in clothed, unpack, and move into the clothing-optional areas when you are ready. Staff at these properties deal with first-timers every week.

Couples-Only vs. Singles Welcome

Desire and Couples Resorts are couples-only. Hedonism II and Hidden Beach also accept single adults. If you are travelling solo and want a nude beach rather than a resort, Orient Bay is the realistic choice.

Practical Packing Notes

Even at fully clothing-optional resorts, you will need:

• High-SPF sunscreen for skin that rarely sees the sun, reapplied often
• A sarong or cover-up for walking to and from the beach and for areas where cover is required
• Sandals or water shoes for hot sand and rocky shorelines
• A large towel (always sit on your own towel on shared furniture)
• Light evening clothes: Hedonism II requires cover in its restaurants and public areas, while Hidden Beach's dining areas are clothing-optional

How to Compare Prices

All of the Mexican and Jamaican properties here are all-inclusive and quote per person per night, with the highest rates from mid-December to April and the lowest in late summer and autumn, which is also hurricane season (June to November). Compare the same dates and room category across resorts, check what single occupancy costs if you are travelling alone, and read the hurricane and cancellation policy before you pay. Cancun is the airport for Hidden Beach and Desire; Montego Bay serves Negril and the Couples resorts.

Which Resort Fits Which Traveler

For a full-on party with a nude side, Hedonism II. For a quiet, food-focused nude holiday, Hidden Beach. For couples interested in the lifestyle scene, Desire. For a mainstream couples resort with a private nude area, Couples Tower Isle or Sans Souci. For a public nude beach without a resort, Orient Bay.
