About Boracay

Boracay was closed for six months in 2018 for a massive environmental cleanup, and it came back better for it. White Beach — four kilometers of flour-fine sand divided into three stations — is still the main event, and the sunsets here are genuinely world-class, painting the sky in oranges and purples that feel algorithmically perfect. Station 1 is the quieter end with upscale resorts; Station 3 is where the budget hostels and backpacker bars cluster. On the other side of the island, Bulabog Beach catches steady winds that make it one of the best kitesurfing spots in Southeast Asia. A meal at a beachfront restaurant — grilled fish, rice, a mango shake — runs about 300-500 pesos (roughly 5-9 USD). The island is small enough to walk or trike across in minutes, which means every day here feels effortlessly simple.
